2020 Summer Intern - Videography

Position Summary:

MedThink transforms communications that make a difference in the lives of patients. Our subsidiary agencies deliver solutions that empower pharma, biotech, and medical device companies to rise above their current challenges. We are moving minds, moving markets, and moving medicine.

The Videography Intern will learn about working in a communications agency and will produce marketing videos in collaboration with the New Business team. With support from the marketing and creative teams for overall look and content, the intern would capture footage, edit material, and produce at least 3 short documentary style and talking head videos featuring internal teams.

Position Responsibilities:

Demonstrates behavior expected of a professional member of the organization, including but not limited to:

Develop video content for ongoing outreach:

  • Work with a creative team to develop and execute several short videos
  • Participate in pre-production (scripting and storyboarding of each video)
  • Coordinate team member interviews
  • Lead shoots of interviews and b-roll visuals
  • Edit footage and audio
  • Review videos with internal teams and make adjustments based on feedback
  • Produce final clean content for public distribution


Position Requirements:

  • Education: At least 2 years completed towards a degree in Documentary Studies, Video Production, or Filmmaking
  • Experience: Experience in shooting, editing, and sharing finalized, polished videos
  • Availability: Must be available at least 20 hours per week during the hours of 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Minimal flexibility around the 12 week program, from May 18 – August 7

Please note: we do not offer housing support for out-of-state interns.

The candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal communication and ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Experience in shooting and editing polished videos
  • Documentary production experience preferred
  • Experience with video software (eg, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere)
  • Creative and motivated
  • A portfolio the team can review as part of the hiring process
